Studio Birthplace was honored with the opportunity to speak at the 2019 edition of the Kancil Awards Festival in Kuala Lumpur, held October 24th-25th.

Co-founders Jorik, Sil and Sean gave an hour-long keynote about their journey, filmmaking approach and beliefs behind Studio Birthplace.

The festival brings together the top of the commercial industry in the region and showcases a variety of fascinating speakers from across disciplines to inspire and challenge mind-sets.

The theme of this year's festival was 'Belief Creates' and saw speakers like Ronald Rael talk about his activism work along the US-Mexico border, and Photographer James Delano present his heartbreaking work covering the ongoing drug war in the Philippines.
