Co-founders Jorik Dozy and Sil van der Woerd present Studio Birthplace’s work at Animated for Impact during London Climate Action Week 2025.
The Studio Birthplace team took part in London Climate Action Week (LCAW) 2025, a global gathering of over 45,000+ attendees across 700+ in-person and virtual events.
One of our highlights of the week was "Animated for Impact: Short Films for Nature, Connection, and Action", our debut event at LCAW hosted with our friends at Ran Collectives.

Held at Coldharbour Blue, Studio Birthplace co-founders Jorik Dozy and Sil van der Woerd headlined the evening with a live showcase of our films such as Wasteminster, TotalPollution and among others.

The evening also included a screening of animated shorts and campaign films from fellow creatives such as Gavin Strange (Aardman Animations), Able & Baker (Love, Death + Robots), and others. This was followed by a panel discussion with Sil, Jorik, Greenpeace representative Russell Harvey, and more on how animation can be a powerful tool for environmental and social change.

Reflecting upon the event, Executive Producer Alea Rahim says:
"I think it goes without saying that our time at London Climate Action Week was deeply inspiring. It was a real joy to collaborate with our friends at Ran Collectives, Yanyie and Chris, who invited Jorik and Sil to speak about the studio. They curated a thoughtful and entertaining lineup of animated campaign films and shorts from around the world including some of our own.
We were also joined on the panel by Russell Harvey from Greenpeace, someone we always love working with! The event was a mix of familiar faces and new connections from longtime collaborators to inspiring new partners we look forward to building with."

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and especially to RAN Collectives for inviting us once again, after two memorable editions of Animated for Impact in Bali.
We’re honoured to be part of this special London edition during such an important week for climate storytelling.
