'Respect the Amazon' is our latest collaboration with Greenpeace, serving as a reminder that the Amazon cannot wait.
The destruction of the Amazon is not new. But while the world looks elsewhere, the forest continues to burn, trees continue to fall, and Big Ag corporations like JBS profit from distraction.
At the centre of the destruction sit the Batista Brothers, bloated executves feasting on steak and money, indifferent to the devastation they’ve wrought.
But the forest is not silent! From its depths, local defenders rise, children, elders, protectors, their footsteps stirring the earth.
The animated short calls us all to join them in holding the line.
This November at COP30, political leaders, surrounded by corporate lobbyists, will meet in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, to decide the future of the planet. The message they need to know is clear: Respect the Amazon.
This animated short is part of Greenpeace's international campaign 'Respect the Amazon', with the participation of many Greenpeace offices including Brazil, Spain, The Netherlands among others.
