In January 2020, Seattle-based artist and producer SYML aka Brian Fennell shared his heartbreaking track, “Flags”, a song born from watching a loved one’s battle with Cancer. Now, he collaborated with Studio Birthplace to capture the true story of Sapna, a 10-year-old girl living below the poverty line in North-West India who suffers from blood cancer.

We travelled to India where we spent time with Sapna and her family, witnessing their day to day life in their village and following Sapna on her weekly overnight train journey to the cancer hospital where she receives treatment.

We were so moved by their experience in India, that we put together a fundraiser to help provide healthcare for cancer patients living below the poverty line in North-West India. The donations will go to the hospital to improve their capacity to manage the growing number of patients. In addition, the donations raised will fund education fees and expenses for Sapna and her siblings for many years to come. A portion of every “Flags” sale, short film and music stream also be donated to this fund. We invite you to watch the full film and join us in assisting cancer patients by making a donation at: http://www.studiobirthplace.com/cancer-assistance
